Meet your Career Coach, Michelle!

Hey y’all!

I’m your Career Coach, Michelle!

There’s a long story of how I ended up becoming a Career Coach, but the short version is that I decided to become what I wish I had taken advantage of early in my career.

Throughout my career, I have worked in management for different companies, including Fortune 50 companies, and made pretty good money, but one thing I know for certain is that I could have saved myself a lot of time, energy, and disappointment, by having a clear path, defined plan, AND a career coach. The same way that I had a coach when I played sports, a teacher to help me learn and pass exams, and a specific plan to help me graduate from high school and college - this is the same strategy I needed to help me along my career path. I’m not sure why we think that once we graduate from college and get our first job, that we no longer need a guide to help us define and achieve our career goals. Here’s the thing - we don’t have to do this on our own!

And that’s why I’m here! I want to help you become more confident in the skills you have and experience success in your career!

I want everyone to perform at their highest potential and be successful at whatever they spend most of their days doing.

In my corporate career, I’ve managed employees, done countless interviews, trained, hired, and fired. It’s not an easy job; but one thing remains true - I’ve wanted each one of my employees to be successful. Other than overseeing the day-to-day tasks and meeting goals, my most significant purpose as a manager was and is to help my employees grow, and be prepared for the next leap in their professional careers.

Outside of being a Career Coach, I enjoy advocating for cancer patients and inspiring others with my own story of resilience as a breast cancer survivor.
